Workflow
Material arrival and production completion are different events
A component arriving at a workstation does not prove it was consumed, and a finished container leaving a line does not prove it passed inspection. If these steps collapse into one status, teams can lose track of available material, rejected output, and replenishment needs. Establish the record owner before adding automated transport.
Workflow
Start at the boundary between the warehouse and the line
Evaluate a material-to-station or finished-goods-to-warehouse route using a supported vendor interface. Purchasing and inventory records provide business details; your manufacturing execution system, production controls, and hardware remain responsible for their agreed functions. Production planning, bills of material, work-in-progress, and quality workflows require separate confirmation in the 1XA scope.
- Identify the material, container, quantity, workstation, and quality status.
- Distinguish delivery acknowledgement from consumption or finished-goods receipt.
- Keep a rejected or held container unavailable until the responsible team releases it.
Workflow
Prove one workflow before expanding
Select one replenishment route and use representative containers under the site team’s supervision. Include a changed destination, material shortage, quality hold, and interruption during transport. Measure material waiting time, missing acknowledgements, and inventory reconciliation. Acceptance should demonstrate both a normal delivery and a recoverable failure before adding more stations.

What to confirm with 1XA and your hardware provider
1XA offers robotics integration planning around inventory, warehouse tasks, and operational priorities. The scenarios on this page are proposed workflows to evaluate, not claims of an installed connector or a completed customer robotics deployment. Device interfaces, record ownership, implementation work, and site acceptance must be confirmed for your installation.
- Bring the robot or fleet-system model, interface documentation, site constraints, and an anonymized task example.
- Agree completion evidence, human review, failure recovery, and implementation responsibilities. Robot safety and motion controls remain with the qualified hardware and site teams.
FAQ
Common Questions
Does 1XA replace robot controllers, PLCs, or an MES?
This integration proposal does not promise those replacements. Confirm existing system ownership and the exact 1XA modules to connect. Robot motion, machine controls, and production execution remain separate responsibilities unless explicitly scoped and validated.
